The Employer Campus: Building a Training Infrastructure for Immigrant Integration in the Workplace

Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC)

This program works with local employers to develop an online Employer Campus that will improve the sharing of best practices for recruiting, hiring and retaining internationally trained individuals.

The Employer Campus will be an online repository of existing employer engagement tools. New tools will be developed for the Employer Campus based on an assessment of needs.

Global Experience @ Work

Ontario Chamber of Commerce

The Ontario Chamber of Commerce is working with local chapters to develop and implement strategies, tools and resources for employers, in order to improve hiring and retention practices and successfully integrate internationally trained individuals.

The Mentoring Partnership

Toronto and Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC)

This program helps build the professional networks and knowledge of the Canadian labour market for internationally trained individuals. By appropriately matching participants with qualified mentors, this program will have a positive impact on employment outcomes for internationally trained individuals looking for jobs in their field. This program also aims to improve employer attitudes around the hiring and retention of internationally trained individuals, by allowing them the opportunity to engage with internationally trained individuals.
