Apply Online

Before submitting an application:

  • You may not apply directly to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) under Ontario's Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream. You must have received a Notification of Interest (NOI) from Ontario through your IRCC online account before you can apply to the OINP under this stream.
  • You must submit your online application to the OINP within 45 calendar days from the date the NOI letter was issued to you. Applications submitted outside the 45 calendar day period will not be processed.
  • You should gather all relevant paper work and supporting documentation required for your application. Ensure that any document that is not in English or French has been translated and certified, and notarized if required.

Filling out an online application will take up to 2 hours to complete. Once you begin, you may save your progress and complete the application at a later time.

The application fee costs $1,500. The fee covers the cost of processing your application and is non-refundable once you submit your application. Your fee must be paid online by credit card only (VISA or MasterCard) before your application can be submitted.

Note: If you receive and accept an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from IRCC or a nomination from another province or territory after you have already applied to OINP, your application fee to OINP will not be refunded. Application fees are non-refundable even if an application is withdrawn or denied, as they cover OINP’s cost of processing applications.

For more information about completing the online application and all required supporting documents, please refer to the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream Application Guide and the registration instructions for the OINP e-Filing Portal.

Please be advised that the program issued Notifications of Interest through a targeted pilot draw under Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities (HCP) stream on March 26th, 2018.

Notifications of Interest (NOI) were issued under the HCP stream to targeted candidates in the Express Entry pool who met HCP stream criteria and have:
1) a job offer in Ontario; or
2) French language skills at Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 or above in all language abilities.

Notifications of interest were issued to individuals with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score range of 351 to 446. For this targeted draw only, the OINP lowered the required minimum CRS score for the HCP stream to below 400. Candidates still need to meet all other HCP stream eligibility. If you were issued a Notification of Interest on March 26th, please review our HCP criteria to consider applying to this stream.
