Log-in and Registration Instructions for the OINP e-Filing Portal

Instructions for Applicants

All applicants must access the OINP e-Filing Portal directly from the OINP website. Click on the stream link under which you would like to apply:

From each page, you must then click on the link “Submit an application…”.

At this point, you may be redirected to the online queue system depending on the number of concurrent users. If this is the case, you will need to wait on the current page until you are redirected. You must not close or refresh this page.

Once you are redirected, you will need to complete the following steps:

  1. Complete the CAPTCHA.
  1. Select whether you are a returning user, a new applicant or a new representative. If you would like to appoint a representative, he/she/they must follow the below instructions.
  1. From the e-Filing landing page, select the applicable stream.
  1. If you are a new applicant, you will need to complete the pre-registration questions by entering your name and date of birth.
    Note: If you do not have a last name on your passport, travel or identity document, enter your first name(s) in the last name field and enter “N/A” in the first name field.
  1. Next, log into your ONe-key If you do not yet have an account, click on the “Sign up now!” link.
  1. Once you are logged in, you will be prompted to register a profile. Please ensure that you carefully enter your information when creating this profile, as the information will be used to populate the relevant fields in your application. The OINP will not accept requests for complete name or date of birth changes.
    Note: If you are a returning user, your profile will be prepopulated with your personal information.
  1. Once your profile is completed, click “Finish” and you will be redirected to the main page of your OINP e-Filing Portal where you can access and complete your application.
  1. Once registered, you must submit your application to the OINP within the mandatory deadlines. See stream application guides for more information.

 

Instructions for Representatives

All representatives must access the OINP e-Filing Portal directly from the OINP website. Click on the stream link under which you would like to submit an application on behalf of an applicant:

From each page, you must then click on the link “Submit an application…”.

At this point, you may be redirected to the online queue system depending on the number of concurrent users. If this is the case, you will need to wait on the current page until you are redirected. You must not close or refresh this page.

Once you are redirected, you will need to complete the following steps:

  1. Complete the CAPTCHA.
  1. Select whether you are a returning user, or a new representative. You should only select ‘new representative’ if you have not yet registered an account in the Portal.
  1. If you are a new representative, you will need to complete the pre-registration questions by entering your name and email address.
  1. Next, log into your ONe-key If you do not yet have an account, click on the “Sign up now!” link.
  1. Once you are logged in, you will be prompted to register a profile.
  1. Once your profile is completed, click “Finish” and you will be redirected to the main page of your OINP e-Filing Portal.
  1. Click on “Submit New Application” and select the applicable stream.
  1. You will then need to read and acknowledge the Representative’s Declaration by checking the box and selecting OK. This step is only required the first time that you submit a new application.
  1. Next, register the profile for the applicant and then click “Submit”. Please ensure that you carefully enter the applicant’s information when creating this profile, as the information will be used to populate the relevant fields in the application. The OINP will not accept requests for complete name or date of birth changes.
    Note: If the applicant does not have a last name on his/her/their passport, travel or identity document, enter his/her/their first name(s) in the last name field and enter “N/A” in the first name field.
  1. You will receive a confirmation number. Click on “Finish” to return to your main page.
  1. Click on “Refresh Applicant’s List” to view the applicant’s information.
  1. The applicant will receive two emails from the OINP indicating that you have registered a profile on their behalf. The first email will include the applicant’s enrollment number and the second will include the PIN number. The applicant must then sign up for a ONe-key account using these two numbers. Once logged in, the applicant can authorize you as their representative.
  1. You will only be able to complete an online application for the applicant once you have been authorized to do so.
  1. Once you have been authorized, you can log in to your ONe-key account and begin the application.
  1. Remember that you must submit the application to the OINP within the mandatory deadlines. See stream application guides for more information.
