Assistive Programs for Specific Needs

The government of Ontario provides financial assistance to people in need to help pay for the purchase of assistive devices and prescription drugs essential to their health.

Assistive Devices Program

Ontario residents who have long-term physical disabilities can receive financial assistance for the purchase of personal assistive devices appropriate to their basic needs and essential to their independence.

Trillium Drug Program

The Trillium Drug Program (TDP) is intended for Ontario residents with a valid Ontario health card who have high prescription drug costs in relation to their income.

Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) Program

The Ontario Drug Benefit Program pays the entire or partial cost of prescription drugs of Ontarians aged 65 and older with a valid Ontario health card who are either:

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Prophylaxis for High-Risk Infants Program

The Respiratory Syncytial Virus Prophylaxis for High-Risk Infants Program funds a drug for Ontario infants who are at high risk for hospitalization and complications from a Respiratory Syncytial Virus infection.
